Action shot: Rostam captures Olad.
Rostam rides Rakhsh and then stops for a rest (why Rakhsh puts up with this, I'll never know). Rakhsh is on the loose and ruins crops; Rostam assaults a farm worker who complains. The farm worker's boss is Olad, and Olad gathers together a group of his mates to start a fight with Rostam. The men approach and Olad asks who he is:
Rostam said, "My name is cloud, if a cloud can fight like a lion; it'll rain down spears and sword blows and lop noblemen's heads off. If my name penetrates your ears, it'll freeze your blood. Have you ever heard, in any company, of the bow and lariat of Rostam? You know what I call a mother who bears a son like you? A sewer of shrouds, or a mourner at a wake. Bringing your cronies here against me is as pointless as throwing walnuts at a dome in the hope they'll stick there."
Rostam kills all Olad's men and uses his rope (lariat) to lasso Olad and drag him off his horse. He intends to kindly ask Olad for some information about the demons who have Kay Kavus hostage, and sets off in pursuit of the demon leader Arzhang.
I'm not sure what we're supposed to take from all of this.
