A netsuke of an eagle carrying off a puppy. Poor little puppy. Netsuke are beautful little carved things. They're used to fasten the strings of a kimono bag - there are no pockets on a kimono, apparently - you hang a bag off the belt to carry your stuff.
There are no updates on the One Thousand and One Nights this week - too much time has been spent collecting stuff for Kiss My Eagle and reading terrible trash (mysteries set on Egyptian cruise ships and Hawaiian coffee plantations, anyone?). Maybe next week? Who can say.
